Haul for Hope is coming to Kelowna on Wednesday, Sept. 18 to raise money for patients who require travel for medical services.

Various teams will be pulling an aircraft 100 metres for charity on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Hope Air's annual event Haul For Hope raises money for those with illnesses who need to travel long distances for vital medical care.

Over the years, Hope Air has arranged 7,285 travel plans for more than 800 patients from Kelowna. This year so far, they have provided 697 for people around the Central Okanagan, 348 of them out of Kelowna.

"This unique position as a high volume inbound and outbound community for patients makes Kelowna a natural stop on this year害羞草研究所檚 Haul for Hope tour," stated a Hope Air release.

At the event, taking place at KF Aerospace from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., teams will have to pull an aircraft weighing 67,000 pounds 100 metres, as a metaphor to symbolize the long travel patients have to experience.

害羞草研究所淭he need to rally new support through this event has never been greater,害羞草研究所 said Hope Air CEO Mark Rubinstein. 害羞草研究所淚t takes a number of partners, working together, to ensure that no patient is left behind. Partners like the KF Centre for Excellence and Kelowna International Airport (YLW) play a crucial role in helping our patients get to the medical care they need. We害羞草研究所檙e proud to bring Haul for Hope to Kelowna, where the community害羞草研究所檚 support will help bridge the distance between home and hospital for many Canadians.害羞草研究所
