Families will have a chance to have fun together at the annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day on Sunday at the Kelowna Family Y and neighbouring Rutland sportsfields from noon to 4 p.m.
Games and crafts, interactive entertainment, an outdoor climbing wall, prizes and more will keep kids busy and active while connecting parents with resources that will help their families live healthier long-term.
There will be basketball challenges, open swim time for families, kids health assessments, family yoga and Zumba classes, martial arts demonstrations and tons of activities put on by the Y and community partners like the BC SPCA, Okanagan Gymnastics Centre, Scouts Canada, and the Okanagan Regional Library.
There is something for everyone who wants to join, and the best thing is, it gets kids outside running, playing, laughing and burning off energy the old fashioned way.
