Okanagan Humane Society: Cats rescued from campsite

Two cats looking for a forever home

This little fuzzy family didn't have an easy start to life being rescued from a campsite with their mom as newborn kittens. Now at four months old, these sisters are looking for a happily ever after - hopefully with you!

These two peas in a pod would like to be adopted together, and here's why. After a brief health scare, Orbit (white) was recently diagnosed with kidney disease - but this won't slow her down or stop her from living a long happy, healthy life. Due to her condition she will simply require special kidney food and annual blood work. It is possible that her disease will lessen or go away completely with time, or it may be something that needs to be monitored for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, we just don't know. What we do know is that she is a snuggly, active, and mischievous little lady with beautiful markings and stunning blue eyes, and that she is so deserving of a chance to have a happy life.

During Orbit's health scare, we noticed that she became very dependent on her family. She relied on them for comfort when she felt ill, and it wasn't until she was reunited with her family that her condition improved. It was recommended that she be adopted with one of her fuzzy family members so she can keep ties to her support system. We are asking that she be adopted with her sweet tabby sister, Romy.

Romy is a girl who knows how to light up a room. She has all the usual fun quirks of a tabby, but is sweet as pie and loves a good snuggle. She is curious as to what's going on outside the window, and would really like a home with a good window seat or cat perch.

We know that it is a tall ask to adopt two kittens at once, but we feel it's in the best interest of both Romy and Orbit to hold out for their puuurfect furever family. Do you have it in your heart to adopt these two love bugs together?

Romy and Orbit would do best in a home with no other cats, or with an older cat who wouldn't mind having rambunctious kittens around. They were fostered in a home with dogs, and are super snuggly and safe with kids.
