Don't forget your appetite º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù” and dancing shoes º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù” when stopping at Penticton's newest summertime event next month.

SummerCamp RibFest is coming to Okanagan Lake Park from Sept. 13 to 15, with live music, craft vendors, barbecue food, and adult-sized games like "tug of war" set to headline the festivities.

The event º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù” previously known in Penticton as just Ribfest º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù” returns to the city with new organizers and a fresh set of ideas. It will bring "everything thatº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s great about summer together for one amazing weekend," organizers said.

Now organized by Vancouver-based The Festival Company and The Narrow Group, the event will be free of admission. Its launch comes after the Rotary Club of Penticton in January said it would not continue organizing Ribfest.

"Theyº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™re thrilled to keep this favourite Penticton event alive to showcase local ribbers, food trucks, musicians, and artisans," a press release from the new event reads.

Several ribbers, including those who appeared in Penticton at its previous festival, will return to the city for this year's event.

"BBQ fans can bring an appetite and load up on favourites like brisket, pulled pork, and chicken alongside the legendary ribs while a range of food trucks will also be on hand to please every tastebud," the release continues.

The three-day festival will also feature adult-sized games like tug of war and water fights, organizers added. A kidsº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™ zone with obstacle courses and other games will be included.

But organizers are also promising a weekend full of toe-tapping performances.

SummerCamp RibFest will feature a main stage and nightly sets from bands across the Okanagan.

Among the performers include local favourites Jack & Jill, Dane Bateman and Mark Ledlin, who was recently named to Sirius XM's "Top 10 Country to Watch" list.

The event will also support Ambassadors of Compassion through its charitable partner, the LIFTED Youth and Mental Health Foundation, according to organizers.

SummerCamp Ribfest is scheduled for noon to 10 p.m. on Sept. 13, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sept. 14 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 15.
