Kootenay folk-rockers Shred Kelly return to Salmon Arm in March for a concert in support of their latest album, Blurry Vision.
The March 28 show at Song Sparrow Hall was announced Tuesday by the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society.

Loved for their popular knee-slapping tracks about everyday life and dreamy tunes about the B.C. wilderness, Shred Kelly found its footing in Fernie before sharing their high-energy and Rocky Mountain-fuelled blend of alternative folk rock with the world, reads the media release. Their captivating stage presence has had feet tapping and seats filled in festivals and venues across Canada, the United States and Europe.
Comprised of vocalist and banjoist Tim Newton, singer and keyboardist Sage McBride, guitarist Ty West and drummer Ryan Mildenberger, Shred Kelly was nominated for Rock Artist of the Year at the 2021 Western Canadian Music Awards and Breakout Artist of the Year in 2018, among other accolades.

Among their past Salmon Arm performances, in 2014 the band spent time working with Ranchero and Salmon Arm West elementary students on a musical project that led to concerts at three schools.
Blurry Vision, Shred Kelly害羞草研究所檚 sixth studio album, was released in October.
For their March 28 gig, Shred Kelly will be joined by the band Hyaenas, who performed for the 2022 Loud and Proud Celebration in downtown Salmon Arm.
Doors open for the all-ages, licensed show at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30.
