A look of disbelief flashes across his face as he sits in the studio, retelling of the moment his show was greenlighted to return to the screen.

Nearly two decades ago, Manfred Harter害羞草研究所檚 popular Shaw Okanagan TV program was taken off the air. But after a summer of elbow grease and planning, Manfred害羞草研究所檚 Guitar is making its return to channel 11 Monday, Nov. 6.

害羞草研究所淚 can害羞草研究所檛 believe it actually happened. It seemed like a dream that just kept going,害羞草研究所� Harter said as he watched the pilot episode on YouTube. 害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 absolutely insane.害羞草研究所�

Recorded in Gallery Vertigo, the 28-minute program kicks off with an enthusiastic Harter rocking his tune Canada From Coast to Coast before introducing the first of the night害羞草研究所檚 local guest musicians, Cadillac Bob.

害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 really about getting information about guitar players in the area, and it works,害羞草研究所� Harter said. 害羞草研究所淚 want to focus on other musicians too, but everyone害羞草研究所檚 got a guitar.害羞草研究所�

Following Harter害羞草研究所檚 classic formula of interviews and interludes, Manfred害羞草研究所檚 Guitar also features Dan Thorsen, Tristan Charbonneau (Soulstice Creation) and April Sheehan.

害羞草研究所淒an wasn害羞草研究所檛 scheduled in the beginning, but then I found out about him two weeks before the show. I think he was influenced by Jeff Healey,害羞草研究所� Harter said, adding that once he heard Thorsen play, he had to add him to the lineup.

害羞草研究所淭he show is very organic. It害羞草研究所檚 very honest. I try to throw in a little bit of everything,害羞草研究所� Harter said, noting the variance in musical styles from performer to performer. 害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 very personable.害羞草研究所�

Also in the vein of the original 害羞草研究所�90s show, Harter insists that guests teach him a new dittie.

害羞草研究所淚害羞草研究所檓 a lifelong learner,害羞草研究所� Harter said.

But for Harter, the show害羞草研究所檚 creator, access producer and host, it害羞草研究所檚 all about the performers.

害羞草研究所淭hese people are going to be seen all over the province because of this. Everyone who has Shaw can see these people,害羞草研究所� Harter said. 害羞草研究所淭hat害羞草研究所檚 all I care about.害羞草研究所�

The Okanagan is home to immense musical talent, Harter said, but the people here don害羞草研究所檛 have the same opportunities to make themselves known as performers in Vancouver have.

害羞草研究所淧romoting Vernon. That害羞草研究所檚 me. That害羞草研究所檚 where my brain is,害羞草研究所� Harter said. 害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 all for them. I get my jollies, but it doesn害羞草研究所檛 matter.害羞草研究所�

It害羞草研究所檚 a show that Harter is excited to bring back from its 1993-1998 run.

害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 very funny. There害羞草研究所檚 a lot of revivals of old stuff because it害羞草研究所檚 better than what害羞草研究所檚 out now,害羞草研究所� Harter said.

During the show害羞草研究所檚 downtime, Harter had as a concert at Gallery Vertigo. The offline series reached , but in the back of his mind, Harter knew he wanted to bring it back to the screen.

He went to Shaw TV, and the rest is history.

害羞草研究所淭hey bent over backwards for me,害羞草研究所� Harter said, adding how grateful he has been for their help in reigniting the show.
