Stage 2 restrictions for regional district water customers

Outdoor watering is restricted to two days a week for all water systems with the RDCO

All Regional District Central Okanagan (RDCO) water systems are now under Stage 2 restrictions.

This includes Star Place, Falcon Ridge, Killiney Beach, Sunset Ranch, Upper Fintry/Shalal Road/Valley of the Sun and Westshore. 

Outdoor watering is restricted to two days a week, on Saturdays and Tuesdays for even numbered addresses, and Sundays and Wednesdays for odd numbered addresses.

Automated sprinklers should only water between 12 and 6 a.m. on designated days, and manual irrigation is restricted between 6 and 11 a.m., and 6 and 12 p.m. during designated days.

A Low winter snowpack, low precipitation and warmer than normal temperatures has also prompted a Level 2 drought rating in the Okanagan.

Water restrictions are expected to remain in place until September 15, and further measures may be implemented if drought conditions worsen.
