Chamber Music Kelowna presents Concerts in the Community

Two free concerts are coming to Kelowna and Vernon in April

Chamber Music Kelowna (CMK) offers two free concerts in Kelowna and Vernon in April.

Pianist Patricia Tao and cellist Johanne Perron will present a program that includes music by Claude Debussy, Gabriel Faur茅, and Enrique Granados.

害羞草研究所淚 think it害羞草研究所檚 important to find opportunities to bring chamber music into non-traditional venues and to offer broad community exposure to this exciting and accessible repertoire,害羞草研究所 said Tao, CMK害羞草研究所檚 artistic director.

Tao is Professor Emerita of Music from the University of Alberta, where she taught piano and chamber music for two decades. Following studies in Boston, Indiana, and New York, she performed throughout the US and Europe for ten years.

Perron pursued a Master害羞草研究所檚 degree at Yale, followed by studies with Leonard Rose at the Julliard School of Music in New York. She has played with orchestras including the Montreal, Mexico, and Lisbon Symphonies, and presented recitals in Canada, Brazil, Mexico, the U.S., and Europe.

The concerts are free on Thursday April 11 at 2 p.m. at UBC Okanagan害羞草研究所檚 University Centre Ballroom, and Friday, Apr. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Vernon Trinity United Church.
