Folks enjoying the sun in downtown Kelowna on May 11, were surprised to see foamy bubbles in the Spirit of the Sails fountain.

The fountain, which is located where Bernard Avenue meets Okanagan Lake, has served as a landmark and point of reference for folks in Kelowna since 1978.

On Saturday May 11, at approximately 4:30 p.m. bubbles could be seen billowing from the fountain and a small crowd had gathered to take in the peculiar sight.

Capital News has reached out to the City of Kelowna for more information about the foamy fountain.
