Infill housing, childcare developments planned for Kelowna neighbourhoods

Projects are planned for Laurier Avenue and East Kelowna Road

An infill housing project for the central city and a childcare facility for east Kelowna have been submitted to city hall.

A development permit application proposes a six-unit project at 934 Laurier Avenue, between Ethel Street and Gagnon Place.

The units are separated into two, three-storey buildings with one fronting Laurier Ave. and the other a rear lane.

害羞草研究所淭he intention of this proposal is to create infill development in an area of Kelowna which is walkable, bikeable, and has access to nearby amenities,害羞草研究所 the development permit states. 害羞草研究所淭he property is within close proximity to the Capri Center, the Highway 97 Corridor, and Downtown Kelowna.害羞草研究所

Also submitted to the city is a development permit for a childcare facility at 3419 East Kelowna Road. Documents show a one-storey building (S.E. Montessori School) that would provide care for children up to five years old.

Both developments still need to be considered by council.
