Kelowna RCMP arrest 3, recover stolen boat, drugs and gun

A person wanted on outstanding warrants was arrested in Kelowna on Monday after fleeing from a truck pulling a large stolen boat.

RCMP received a report of a stolen boat from a home in the Upper Mission area at about 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 6. According to Cpl. Michael Gauthier, video taken from a home security camera, showed a white coloured Ford pickup truck departed the residence hauling the large fibreglass boat on a trailer at about 2:15 a.m.

A few hours later, officers spotted the truck and boat and attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle within the 3100 block of Casorso Road.

害羞草研究所淲hile the driver and one passenger remained on scene and were safely taken into custody, a second passenger fled on foot and was arrested shortly after in a nearby commercial parking lot,害羞草研究所 said Cpl. Gauthier.

During the arrest police also seized drugs and a firearm.

The two who remained on scene were later released with a promise to appear in court.

The passenger who fled remains in custody for outstanding warrants.
