Kelowna Regional Transit adds 5 new buses to its fleet

Five new light-duty buses are now operating in the Kelowna Regional Transit System.

At a cost of $1,048,770, BC Transit has added five new buses to Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 regional fleet. The 26-foot light-duty ARBOC Spirit of Freedom buses are now operating with up to three mobility aids, such as wheelchairs.

Upgrades to the new buses include modern vinyl seating and better interior lighting to make the commuting experience much more comfortable for riders and an improved LED destination sign that clearly shows the bus number, route name and destination.

The cost for the buses was shared through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP). Eligible costs for infrastructure and fleet investments are shared between the three levels of government and other partners.
