Royal Canadian Legion 26 in Kelowna has donated $3,000 to the Central Okanagan Community Foodbank.
The money will be split evenly between the Kelowna and West Kelowna locations.
害羞草研究所淲e wanted to designate them害羞草研究所e wanted it (the donation) to be in our areas,害羞草研究所� said Linda Mitchell, Legion acting president.
She said it害羞草研究所檚 important for the Legion to give back to the community.
害羞草研究所淲e try and support anyone that needs help and we have a certain amount of money that we can give each year.害羞草研究所�
The Legion is also in need of some help.
害羞草研究所淲e still need some volunteers to go out and do the poppy campaign,害羞草研究所� Mitchell added. 害羞草研究所淭here are certain spots where we still need volunteers.害羞草研究所�
Legion branches across the country take part in the poppy campaign and donations are held in trust at the branch level to support veterans and their families within their respective communities.
Poppies are worn every year from the last Friday in Oct. to Nov 11 by millions of Canadians.
