An apartment building was evacuated and a fire was snuffed out in short order in Kelowna on Saturday morning.

The fire broke out just before 10 a.m. at the Stephen Village supportive housing apartments at 2025 Agassiz Road on Dec. 23.

Four fire trucks responded to the call, and the RCMP also attended the scene. Emergency Services arrived as a precaution though there doesnº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™t appear to be any injuries.

The building sustained minimal damage and the cause of the fire was a melted pot in one of the fourth floor units.
