West Kelowna city council will be able to move into its new home early next year.

The new municipal building at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway will house council chambers, and an Okanagan Regional Library branch.

Local MP and MLA害羞草研究所檚 offices, and Service BC and ICBC will also provide services from the new building.

It is anticipated the building will be open by the end of January to mid-February.

Construction on the project began in Sept. 2021 but saw approximately nine months of delays according to a staff report.

Some of the main issues over the course of construction include cost increases from the pre-construction budget, BC Hydro design and construction delays, delays in material production and unavailability, and delays caused by wildfires and landslides.

Project delays will not result in any new tax increases.
