No arrests after RCMP high-risk takedown in Kelowna

Multiple RCMP cruisers descended on Willow Park Shopping Centre in Rutland on the morning of May 5.

However, the incident did not involve any arrests or criminal charges.

According to Corp. Michael Gauthier, officers conducted a high-risk takedown and arrest of a white cube van and its driver at the shopping centreº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s parking lot after police received information that the driver was possibly in possession of a firearm following an altercation with another person elsewhere earlier that morning.

Police confirmed there was no gun present and the driver was released.

No one was injured in either incident.
