The rebranding of the Peachland Classic Car Show for 2024 was a roaring success according to the Chamber of Commerce. 

害羞草研究所淭his show is one of the premier car shows in the valley and one of few that offers a waterfront venue,害羞草研究所� Darlene Thornton, Chamber Executive Director told Peachland council at its July 16 meeting.

In December 2023, the group that had been running the event announced it was driving the show to West Kelowna.

The Chamber took over the show, for its 25th edition, with the help of volunteers and businesses to raise funds, prizes, and sponsorship totalling $36,000.

害羞草研究所淲ith no inherited funds to begin with, we had to get creative,害羞草研究所� Thornton explained.

A Peachland Graffiti sock hop event was organized which raised $8,500 to support the car show.

害羞草研究所淩esidents are hoping this becomes an annual event,害羞草研究所� Thornton said.

All the fundraising offset the $23,000 in expenses and provides funds available for next year害羞草研究所檚 event.

For 2024, the show was downsized to 275 entries and restricted to pre-1980 vehicles. The final count was 215 vehicles, a half-dozen classic boats, and a float plane.

Several vehicles from the Lower Mainland that registered for the show were unable to attend due to weather conditions on highways at the time (May 19). 

The Chamber is currently planning the 2025 show.
