Rising water levels close Casorso Road underpass in Kelowna

Regional district urges visitors to adhere to barricades and closure signs

Recent warm weather, coupled with increased high-elevation snowmelt, has led to rising water levels along the Mission Creek Greenway, resulting in the closure of the Casorso Road bridge underpass.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) urges visitors to adhere to barricades and closure signs posted at the site, emphasizing that the underpass will remain closed until water levels subside.

Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to only cross Casorso Road when it害羞草研究所檚 safe.

Motorists are asked to watch for Greenway users crossing the road in the area while underpass trails are inaccessible.

Regional Parks staff are monitoring creek levels along the Mission Creek Greenway and the Scenic Canyon regional park recreational corridor.

Spring runoff brings the potential for unexpected rises in creek levels, and the public is reminded to stay clear of creek banks, especially children and pets, due to the possibility of slippery surfaces and erosion risks.
