A suspect remains in custody after a police incident that stemmed from online threats.
At approximately 5 p.m., June 11, Lake Country and Kelowna RCMP responded to the 400-block of Commonwealth Road in Kelowna searching for the individual believed to have written the unspecified threats.
The Southeast District Emergency Response Team was called to assist after the individual was identified and would not exit the residence at Holiday Park as per commands from police.
Ultimately, the person surrendered and was safely apprehended.
The person was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning, June 12.
