No injuries were reported after a truck caught fire at the Water Street boat launch.

Kelowna fire crews were called to a vehicle fire just before 2:30 p.m. on May 12, at 1354 Water near the yacht club.

Crews on scene told Capital News the driver had noticed smoke coming from the truck after off-loading his boat into Okanagan Lake.

The blaze was quickly extinguished.

The opposite side of the boat ramp from that of the vehicle fire, was still open for use, while firefighters remained on scene.
