Travellers making their way to and from Kelowna International Airport (YLW) have likely noticed that Uber is not on a list of transportation options.

Samaddar added that part of those agreements is for the safety of passengers.

He noted that YLW has spelled out its expectations to Uber.

Currently, Uride is the only ride-sharing service permitted to operate at the airport.

He pointed out that in addition to ride-sharing and taxi services, a recently introduced virtual reservation system ensures safe, speedy service for travellers.
