The Kelowna RCMP is seeking witnesses to a crash that occurred on Rifle Road at approximately 12:18 a.m. on Feb. 1.

The incident involving a white Mazda pickup truck and a light grey Hyundai Elantra took place on Rifle Road between Mount Baldy Drive and Silver Place. RCMP were on-scene investigating until approximately 9 a.m.

According to the RCMP, the drivers of both vehicles were taken to Kelowna General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The RCMP is now asking the public to come forward if they saw either vehicle prior to the crash or if they were a witness to or have dashcam footage of the incident.

Rifle Road from Mount Baldy Drive and Silver Place in Kelowna is closed on Thursday morning (Feb. 1) due to an emergency scene.

The road is closed because of a two-vehicle crash that happened late Wednesday night (Jan. 31). According to the Kelowna RCMP, the driver of each vehicle was taken to Kelowna General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the damaged vehicles was towed away from the scene just before 7:30 a.m.

Emergency scene signs are up in the area as traffic is being forced to turn around, causing some traffic delays. Officers on scene are cleaning up and finishing their investigation.
