Vernon man seriously injured in highway crash near Kelowna

The family of a young Vernon man who was seriously injured in a highway crash near Kelowna is appealing to the public for support.

Highway 33 was closed in both directions early Saturday morning, Feb. 10, due to a multi-vehicle collision in the Joe Rich area between Peregrine Road and Philpott Road. Kelowna RCMP released little information about the crash, aside from saying it was serious.

On Tuesday, Vernon resident Tim Edwards set up a GoFundMe page to garner support for his son, Isaiah Foureyes-Edwards, who was involved in the crash, the Edwards family confirmed to The Morning Star Saturday, Feb. 17.

害羞草研究所淥ur son was involved in a head on collision and got the worse of it,害羞草研究所 Edwards wrote, explaining his son suffered a broken femur, wrist, ribs and collarbone, and also had to get plastic surgery on both hands.

Edwards said his son is in the Kelowna General Hospital 害羞草研究所渁nd there is no estimated time for discharge.害羞草研究所

Edwards said the family is hoping to raise funds to help cover expenses such as food, hotel stays and gas.

The has so far raised just over $1,000 in four days.
