Some Peachland residents in the Buchanan Road area will be without water service next week (Aug. 7).

Water will be shut off between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. while crews conduct utility work. The shutdown will require a precautionary boil water notice once the water service is turned back on. 

The notice will be rescinded when the district receives two consecutive water sampling results indicating the system is functioning normally.

The affected properties are:

• Buchanan Rd - 5244, 5247, 5251, 5254, 5255, 5261, 5265, 5270, 5271, 5275, 5286, 5294;
• Beach Ave - 3701, 3703, 3706;
• Tailyour Lane: 5284. 5286.

Residents are advised to have an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. 

Water can also be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to drinking, making ice, cooking, washing or brushing teeth.
