Water Witches take over Wood Lake

What do you call a witch at the beach? Well, if you害羞草研究所檙e talking about the coven of paddlers in the Central Okanagan, they are certainly not called 害羞草研究所榮and-witches害羞草研究所櫤π卟菅芯克 they call themselves the Wood Lake Water Witches.

On Sunday Oct. 15, a perfect fall day, hundreds of witches gathered at Wood Lake with their paddle boards, kayaks and brooms, to set off on their annual paddle.

People came dressed in their most 害羞草研究所榖e-witching害羞草研究所 attire, and some paddle pups 害羞草研究所揳nd cats害羞草研究所 even got in on the action. To learn more about the annual event visit the

One more witch paddle event is planned to take place at Kal Beach at noon on Oct. 28.

Hundreds of witches are expected at the Coldstream event.
