West Kelowna names former city manager from across the lake as interim CAO

West Kelowna council has appointed Ron Mattiussi as Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) effective immediately through mid-May 2024.

With the departure of CAO Paul Gipps on Feb. 9, Mattiussi will assume the Interim CAO position while the recruitment process is underway.

害羞草研究所淲ith over 40 years害羞草研究所 experience in public service, 28 at a senior level, our council is delighted to welcome Mr. Mattiussi to West Kelowna as our Interim CAO,害羞草研究所 said Mayor Gord Milsom.

害羞草研究所淲e recently retained him to lead the city害羞草研究所檚 McDougall Creek Wildfire recovery efforts and our council and citizens were extremely grateful.害羞草研究所

Mattiussi has worked with municipalities in Alberta and Ontario and was director of planning and development services at the City of Kelowna in 1995, and city manager from 2006 through 2018.

He has also conducted interim CAO work with the District of Summerland, City of Grand Forks, and City of Revelstoke, as well as planning reviews with the District of Lake Country.

Council also selected Leaders International as the recruitment company to undertake the search for West Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 new CAO.

Gipps took over the CAO position for Lake Country on Feb. 12.
