West Kelowna nurse reprimanded for failing to provide care and medications

A West Kelowna Registered Nurse (RN) has agreed to a two-month suspension of their registration stemming from practice issues that occurred in 2023.

On Jan.25, 2024, an inquiry committee approved a consent agreement between the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and Lisa Elyzen.

The issues related to failure to provide care and medications to patients in acute pain, and for not carrying a physician害羞草研究所檚 orders for an acutely ill patient.

The committee stated that Elyzen voluntarily agreed to the two-month suspension and that she undertake a learning plan.

She is also required to complete remedial courses in pain management, professional responsibility and accountability, ethics, and documentation, to address the conduct and competency concerns that gave rise to the complaint.

害羞草研究所婽he committee added that it is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
