The Gellatly Nut Farm Orchard is closed as it is being used as a nursery for some newly born fawns.

The West Kelowna park is closed to the public to allow space for deer fawns and their mother to recover and move on, said the Regional District of the Central Okanagan.

Gellatly Nut Farm Orchard is located within the .

Signage with additional information has been posted at all entrances of the park.

In the interest of public safety and wildlife conservation, regional parks requests that visitors respect the closure and remain out of the orchard. Fines can be issued for failure to comply with the posted signs.

Regional parks would also like to remind pet owners that dogs are not permitted within the orchard area at any time and are required to be always on leash in other areas of the park.
