Former Kelowna Falcon, Okanagan Coyote released by Tampa Bay Rays

A former Kelowna Falcon is a free agent.

Trevor Brigden, 29, was released by the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, after spending six and a half seasons with the organization. He was last pitching for their Triple-A affiliate, the Durham Bulls. 

Through his career in the minor leagues, Brigden has a 4.13 ERA over 154 appearances, striking out 312 batters.

Also, a former member of the Okanagan College Coyotes baseball team, Brigden was drafted by Tampa Bay in the 17th round of the MLB Draft in 2019.

He hasn't made his Major League debut yet.
