West Kelowna Warriors bring home familiar face as assistant coach

Wyatt Head is returning to the West Kelowna Warriors as an assistant coach.

A familiar face to returning to the West Kelowna Warriors.

The team announced on Friday, Aug. 9 that they have hired Wyatt Head to be an assistant coach for the 2024-25 season. 

It's a homecoming for Head, who played for the Warriors from 2016-19, scoring 10 goals and adding 59 assists in 131 games. After his time with the team, he played for two years at Mercyhurst University.

"Wyatt is an intelligent, hard-working young hockey mind, who brings BCHL and Div 1 playing experience [to our coaching room]," said Warriors coach and general manager Simon Ferguson. "He害羞草研究所檚 spent the last couple of seasons coaching top-level U14-18 hockey, while also working as our video coach. Wyatt害羞草研究所檚 experience as a player and coach will be something our guys can lean on. We are excited to bring somebody on board who bleeds our colours.害羞草研究所

And for Head, coming home means a lot to him.

"I害羞草研究所檓 super excited to be joining the Warriors organization as an assistant coach,害羞草研究所 said Head.  害羞草研究所淚t means a lot to be starting my BCHL coaching career in a place where I spent so much time as a player, with a tremendous amount of amazing memories in this City and with a fanbase that害羞草研究所檚 ever-growing.
