Crime and homelessness were a few issues on voters害羞草研究所� minds as they cast their ballots today in Kelowna.

害羞草研究所淥ne issue I would say is property taxes and害羞草研究所� cleaning up the downtown, homelessness and crime,害羞草研究所� said Kelowna resident Nick Gunn, at the polling station at Parkinson Recreation Centre.

Another resident said she wants council to 害羞草研究所渉ome害羞草研究所� people and not 害羞草研究所渉ouse害羞草研究所� them. She said collaboration is needed from non-profits and 害羞草研究所渘ot always big business,害羞草研究所� but declined to give her name to the Capital News.

害羞草研究所淚 was not happy with our choices (for mayor),害羞草研究所� she said.

As his duty to vote, resident Don Abney said he studied each of the council candidate害羞草研究所檚 platforms.

害羞草研究所淚 wasn害羞草研究所檛 happy for with the past mayor so I didn害羞草研究所檛 vote for the mayor,害羞草研究所� he said. 害羞草研究所淭he thing that bothered me the most was the placement of the tourist bureau down by the lake.害羞草研究所�

He also said event planners were ignored by council.

Two residents who said they lived downtown were concerned with the homelessness situation.

And two 18-year-olds cast their ballots for the first time Saturday morning.

害羞草研究所淚t felt good, it害羞草研究所檚 something that we take for granted so it害羞草研究所檚 something we should always do,害羞草研究所� said Ben Whittaker. Whittaker and Tommy DeWitt said there wasn害羞草研究所檛 an issue, in particular, they were focused on for this election; it was more about exercising their right to vote.

害羞草研究所淲e both really like history害羞草研究所� so we realize how fortunate we are to actually have this ability to vote,害羞草研究所� Whittaker said.
