An advertisement on a local website has sparked online fervour.

A classified ad, that has since been removed, is asking for puppies and kittens to be donated for food.

Lots of love and attention. We are looking to use them as an ethical source of meat for our family. Slaughter is humane and quick after a very good life. Several people have expressed disgust, and sadness about the post.

Hogan hopes that the ad wasn害羞草研究所檛 created for shock value and that in the future there will be stronger checks of animal-related advertisements. The BC SPCA, Kelowna Branch, called the website immediately Friday after it was alerted about the ad to ensure it was taken down.
