A man attempting to steal a vehicle Tuesday has been charged.

On May 9, shortly after 6 p.m., Kelowna RCMP received a report of a male seen unlawfully inside a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of KLO Road.

The complainant quickly recognized the situation was suspicious, he noted detailed description information of both the suspect and the green Acura Integra he was observed fleeing in.

A subsequent query of the vehicle害羞草研究所檚 license plate along with its Vehicle Identification Number, revealed that the car had been reported stolen to police on Monday, May 8 from the 700 block of KLO Road.

Kelowna general duty officers converged on the business害羞草研究所� parking lot where the male suspect and his female passenger exited the stolen vehicle. The man was taken into police custody outside the store, while the woman was arrested by officers inside the store. She was later released without charge.

Jamie Michael Sugden, 25, has been charged with the following criminal offences, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach of his probation order. He has also been charged with offences under the Motor Vehicle Act for allegedly driving while prohibited or suspended.
