A two-vehicle collision in West Kelowna sent a car flying into a building.

Witnesses say an SUV hit the back of a car which propelled it into a store front next to Papa John害羞草研究所檚 on Main Street just before Elliot Road, about 12 p.m.

Emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to cut the roof off of the car and extract the driver.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

It害羞草研究所檚 unclear if the driver of the SUV was injured or if there was anyone in the store at the time of the incident.

Jordan Pearce of Retro Thrift witnessed the accident, which happened across the street from his business.

He heard squealing and immediately called 911.
