An injured cyclist was rescued via helicopter in the Three Blind Mice area of Penticton on Friday, May 10.
Penticton Search and Rescue (PENSAR) responded to the injured individual at around noon, who was on the Bronco Trail.
Its response marked the fourth time since Wednesday, May 8, that PENSAR has been called for a rescue.
After Penticton fire crews provided mutual aid and contacted the cyclist, an initial assessment determined that there was a need for a helicopter long-line extraction, PENSAR said.
害羞草研究所淭he Penticton SAR helicopter team, Eclipse Helicopters, and three ground teams were dispatched to the site to evacuate the cyclist to B.C. Ambulance Service,害羞草研究所 representatives from the search and rescue team said.
The cyclist was stabilized, packaged into a stretcher, and attached to the long line for transport to a landing zone at Penticton害羞草研究所檚 D害羞草研究所橝ngelo Estate Winery. The transfer to BC Ambulance was successful, PENSAR added.
