If you walked around downtown Kelowna on Saturday and noticed the flags at City Hall standing at half mast, there害羞草研究所檚 a good reason for it.
The celebration of life for former Kelowna council member and Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Al Horning was held on Saturday, June 10. The flags were at half mast to honour the 83-year old who died on March 23 of this year.
Raised in Kelowna, Horning was elected to Kelowna City Council in 1980 and stayed in that position until 1988. He was elected to the House of Commons that year.
In 2002, he returned to Kelowna City Council and three years later in 2005, he was elected the MLA for Kelowna-Lake Country.
