The Kelowna Hindu Cultural Society is helping evacuees in Kelowna and West Kelowna.

Working with restaurants Made in India and Quesada, volunteers are making and giving out food to evacuees stationed at Prospera Place in Kelowna and stations in West Kelowna.

害羞草研究所淎s much as we can today, we害羞草研究所檙e making food for 50-60 people and we害羞草研究所檙e [making] food for all West Kelowna locations as well,害羞草研究所� said a Made in India spokesperson. 害羞草研究所淭his is the only time, you know, and we害羞草研究所檙e trying to do what we can to help them. This is the only way we can help right now.害羞草研究所�

Made in India is making butter chicken, rice, lentil soup and more for evacuees and will be serving both lunch and dinner to as many people as they can for as long as they have to.

Quesada is also helping with food for evacuees in both cities.

害羞草研究所淚 think it害羞草研究所檚 my duty to serve the community because we are operating here doing the business here in Kelowna,害羞草研究所� said a Quesada spokesperson. 害羞草研究所淭hat害羞草研究所檚 why I害羞草研究所檓 volunteering and we are going to do it til this is over.害羞草研究所�

Panago Pizza and Samosa Place are two other companies that are donating food.

害羞草研究所淭here害羞草研究所檚 a free meal for all the evacuees and all the firefighters, anybody visiting their stores,害羞草研究所� said the Quesada spokesperson. 害羞草研究所淚 myself [brought] some burritos to this evacuation center here.害羞草研究所�

Quesada has two locations open right now, however, the Pier Mac Way location is closed to do an evacuation order.
