Lake Country Museum director Bob Hayes has been honoured by the B.C. Historical Federation for his ongoing historical work.

Hayes was presented with a Certificate of Recognition by Jane Watt, President of the British Columbia Historical Federation (BCHF) at a ceremony in late May.

The certificate, one of three awarded annually by the BCHF, was presented to Hayes at the BCHF Awards Banquet, held at the Coast Hotel in Chilliwack. Hayes was nominated for this prestigious award by Wayne Wilson, former long time Executive Director of Kelowna Museums.

Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran commented on Hayes work.
