UPDATE: Man seriously burned in workplace explosion

Emergency crews rush a man to hospital with serious burns.

UPDATE:

West Kelowna RCMP confirm reports that a man sustained serious burns after an accident on Dominion Road Wednesday morning.

On June 28, 2017 at 9:13 a.m., emergency crews responded to reports of an industrial incident at the Kelowna Ready Mix located on the 2300 block of Dominion Road.

害羞草研究所淚nitial reports have indicated that a 62-year-old male sustained what were described as serious burns, to most of his body, as a result of an explosion, believe to have occurred during the transference of gasoline from one fuel transport vehicle into another,害羞草研究所 explains Cpl. West Kelowna RCMP continue to work closely with Work Safe BC, as both agencies continue to determine what exactly transpired.

UPDATE:

A fire investigator, RCMP and WorkSafeBC are on scene investigating a fire Wednesday morning that sent one person to hospital with burns.

Fire Chief Jason Brolund says crews were initially called to a report of a car fire on Dominion Road.

When crews arrived the fire had already been extinguished, so firefighters jumped into action helping a man injured in the reported gasoline fire.

Brolund says the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

Moments later, crews were called to a second fire in West Kelowna Estates where a neighbour

Emergency crews rushed a man to hospital, Wednesday morning, after he was seriously burned.

The incident happened at 2313 Dominion Road, just after 9 a.m., when witnesses say gasoline caught fire beside a vehicle and a man tried to extinguish it.

It害羞草研究所檚 unclear how the gasoline caught fire, however the flames were near a residence in the vicinity to the KRM gravel pit.

The Kelowna General Hospital was notified that paramedics were bringing in a serious burn victim.

The man害羞草研究所檚 current condition is not known.
