Some compassionate dog control officers have reunited a family.

Jasmine the dog is back with Dawn Dixon and her family in Carvel, Alta. (not far from Stony Plain outside of Edmonton) after being found in Vernon.

害羞草研究所淲e just wanted to send you a thank you for returning Jasmine to us,害羞草研究所� said Dixon in a letter to dog control and the Regional District of North Okanagan. 害羞草研究所淲e had given up hope that we would find her after she managed to get out of the yard in early December.害羞草研究所�

In late March, Jasmine, a 10-year-old border collie, was found wandering Vernon without a license.

害羞草研究所淒og control checked her for identification, found a microchip and contacted the registered owner in Alberta. The owner, however, was out of the country and unable to retrieve voice mail until several days later,害羞草研究所� said Leah Mellott, with RDNO.

害羞草研究所淛asmine had already been in the pound for five days when an individual showed up to claim ownership, stating that a friend had found the dog in Alberta.害羞草研究所�

According to Mellott, dog control officers refused to release Jasmine as they suspected these individuals were not the rightful owners.

Shortly after that, contact was made with Dixon.
