PHOTOS: Puppies help Shuswap SPCA raise well over fundraising goal

Three lab cross puppies named Archer, Hunter and Fisher available for adoption

A trio of puppies are making lunch breaks a lot cuter at Piccadilly Mall.

The BCSPCA Shuswap branch brought three lab cross puppies, Archer, Hunter and Fisher, to a grassy spot outside the mall from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 to introduce them to the public, garner adoption interest and finish off the organization害羞草研究所檚 Lock-In for Love fundraiser.

The fundraising campaign ran from June 1-17, and as the last day rolled around, BCSPCA Shuswap centre manager Meranda Dussault and volunteers wanted to go all out.

害羞草研究所淲e are overachievers,害羞草研究所 said Dussault. 害羞草研究所淲e did already achieve our goal, but there害羞草研究所檚 always room for more.害羞草研究所

Dussault set a small goal for the centre as she is currently running two shelters and wanted to make sure she could achieve what she promised.

害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 my first event so I wanted to set the bar low, and I was a bit nervous,害羞草研究所 she said.

The Shuswap branch surpassed its $3,000 goal earlier in the campaign, more than doubling it without including anything they raise today.
