Protestors stand for Site C during Clark害羞草研究所檚 visit

Not everyone was clapping and cheering during Premier Christy Clark害羞草研究所檚 visit to Kelowna.

The Premier was greeted at The Laurel Packinghouse, Tuesday night by supporters as she gave a speech about Kelowna, the leaders debate and standing against Trump害羞草研究所檚 lumber tax.

害羞草研究所淭his province is built on hard work in the resource sector and I害羞草研究所檓 so disappointed this week when John Horgan stood with a supporter who called British Columbia害羞草研究所檚 foundational industries in the resource sector; forestry, mining, oil and gas害羞草研究所 he called them dinosaur industries,害羞草研究所 said Clark.

She then took a stance against Donald Trump.

害羞草研究所淗ere we have facing perilous times just south of the border, a Donald Trump America that is fighting hard for American jobs害羞草研究所 whose going to fight for Canadian jobs?害羞草研究所 she said she would take a stand against Trump害羞草研究所檚 policies to protect Canadian jobs.

害羞草研究所淏ritish Columbia needs a fighter,害羞草研究所 she said.

Three protesters held signs against the Site C Dam.

Protester Fae Shaw said she would like to speak with Clark about some facts on the dam.

害羞草研究所淪ite C has never had proper review害羞草研究所 we could do better with clean alternatives,害羞草研究所 she said. 害羞草研究所淭his is going to cost us.害羞草研究所

Shaw lives in the Kelowna-Mission riding and said she feels like Clark hasn害羞草研究所檛 heard what her riding has been saying.

害羞草研究所淪he didn害羞草研究所檛 show up at her constituents riding. There害羞草研究所檚 people that care about Site C.害羞草研究所

Clark was not answering questions from the media Tuesday night.
