RCMP害羞草研究所檚 Musical Ride to perform in Kelowna

Musical Ride will return to the city for two shows Aug. 9 at Prospera Place

The RCMP害羞草研究所檚 famed Musical Ride is returning to Kelowna.

The Kelowna RCMP announced Monday the 32 members of the Musical Ride will perform in the arena Aug. 9 in support of the Cops For Kids charity. The ride last performed in the city 13 years ago.

The ride, A symbol of Canada known around the world, features scarlet-clad RCMP riders and their horses performing intricate maneuvers choreographed to music. The ride has even been immortalized on Canadian currency.

害羞草研究所淲e are ecstatic to have secured a spot, for a stop here in Kelowna, on the 2018 North American tour of the truly iconic RCMP Musical Ride,害羞草研究所 said Supt. Brent Mundle, Kelowna RCMP detachment commander and co-chair of the Cops for Kids Charitable Foundation Musical Ride Committee.

TD has been a long-term supporter of Cops for Kids and is proud to support the charity害羞草研究所檚 efforts to bring the Musical Ride to Kelowna, said TD district vice-president Dale Safinuk. Proceeds raised will go towards supporting children in medical, physical or traumatic crisis across southeastern B.C.

In September, the annual Cops For Kids 10-day, 1,000-kilometre cycle ride goes, featuring volunteer riders害羞草研究所攎embers of the RCMP害羞草研究所攖akes place to also raise funds for the charity.

The Musical Ride performs in as many as 50 communities across the country each year between May and October and has also performed internationally. Its performances are usually associated with a sponsoring charity.

Grant Fletcher, president of Cops For Kids, said organizers are hoping to sell 10,000 tickets for the two performances that are planned for Aug 9. He said temporary stables will be built for the horses at the Kelowna Curling Club a few blocks away from Prospera Place and the horses will parade to the arena on the day of the performances, along Ellis Street.

Prospera Place announced tickets for the two performances will go on sale Thursday, March 29 at 10 a.m. through . Ticket will cost $20 for adults, $15 for children and $17 for seniors, all before taxes and fees.

The Musical Ride will also perform in and Sicamous July 17, as well as in Princeton Aug 11 and 12.
