Highway 97 is reopened after being closed in both directions south of Clinton following a motor vehicle incident on Tuesday, June 4.

The incident occurred between the 26 Mile Frontage Road and Boyd Pit Road around noon.

While the closure was in place, residents in the Little Fort area reported heavy commercial traffic in that community as vehicles detoured around Highway 97.

Highway 5A just north of Merritt was also closed Tuesday evening between Monck Park Road and Pennask Lake Road for 13.9 km due to a vehicle incident. That incident has since been cleared.
