A potential scam requesting payment for unpaid parking tickets has made its way to Penticton, bylaw officials have learned.
Penticton city officials issued a warning to residents this week over the scam, which they say is being done via text message.
"To be clear, the city will not send you a text message asking for payment," the warning reads. "We will send you a letter on official letterhead ahead asking you to pay any unpaid tickets."
