May 31, 1926 - February 5, 2020
With heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad "Bob", at the age of 93, on February 5, 2020. He leaves behind his daughters Vivian Schramm and Penny Clayton; his son Robert Clayton; his seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren; as well as his three great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. He was sadly predeceased by both his wife Audrey Clayton (n脙漏e Garbutt) and his second wife Grace Clayton (n脙漏e Taylor); and also, his stepdaughter Wendy Murray.
Bob was born in Ontario on May 31, 1926. He then met his wife, Audrey, during the war years in Vernon, BC and they were married in 1947. Later, he married Grace and moved to Kelowna, BC in 1978.
Bob was a man of many professions, but whatever he was selling he did it with passion. He had a very soft heart for animals/birds and was known to bring home animals that needed love and attention.
Bob was very involved in his community through Rotary, Church, and other projects. When something needed to be done, he was the man to finish the job.
His great big personality will be missed by all his friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com.
