Emma Elders is making a name for herself out in Toronto.
The 20-year-old Coldstream native is a forward for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues hockey team. She detonated her offensive abilities in a game on Saturday, Jan. 13 against the Queen害羞草研究所檚 Gaels, scoring four times in the 5-1 victory.

In her second year with Toronto, the five-foot four-inch left shot forward has six goals and three assists through 18 games.
Elders played for the Rink Hockey Academy female prep team out of Kelowna for two seasons prior to University. She started her hockey career with the Thompson-Okanagan Lakers of Vernon back in 2017 and competed there for three seasons.
Not only is she a prolific athlete, Elders will be specializing in neuroscience in grad school, upon completing her undergraduate degree in life sciences.
Her father is two-time Vernon Lakers Centennial Cup winner Jason Elders, who sniped 90 regular-season goals in two seasons with the B.C. Hockey League club in 1989-90 and 1990-91, securing a scholarship to the University of Denver.
Her teammates out of the Rink Academy in 2020-21; Brooke Disher, Jade Iginla, Mia Kenmore, Kayla Kutes, Sophie McKinley and Sara Swiderski have all earned NCAA scholarships.
The Varsity Blues are ranked eighth in the nation in U Sports, sporting a 12-6 record and currently are riding a four-game winning streak.
