Girls basketball camp coming back to the Okanagan

Cassandra Brown is back in the Okanagan with her basketball camps, as her CB Elite Training Academy will be running five days of basketball skills action in August.

The camps are for girls in Grades 5-12. Kelowna will see a two-day event, on Saturday, Aug. 26 and Sunday Aug. 27, at Kelowna Christian School. Girls in Grades 5-7 will be on court from 9-11:30 a.m. on Saturday and 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Grades 8-12 ladies will compete from 12:30-3 p.m. on Saturday and 5-7 p.m. on Sunday.

Vernon basketball players will see three days of camp action, from Aug. 30-Sept. 1, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Hosted at Clarence Fulton Secondary, the Grades 5-7 camp will be from 9-11:30 a.m., while the 8-12 girls will participate from 12:30-3 p.m.

Brown is a staple in the Okanagan community, and has competed professionally in more than 15 countries. A former member of the Canadian Senior Women害羞草研究所檚 National Team, Brown recently came back from Australia, after competing with the Mount Gambier Pioneers of the NBL-One league.

Back in February, Brown was in Vernon for her camp that saw 40 girls participate.

To register for the camp, visit . Cost is $99 for Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 and $125 for Vernon. A bag, signed poster and take home workouts are included in all camps.
