This is your chance to enjoy a pow day and test new gear with a group of girlies at Big White.

碍别濒辞飞苍补害羞草研究所檚 is hosting a women害羞草研究所檚 ski and board day on Jan. 20.

The event is being hosted by one of the shop害羞草研究所檚 sponsored riders, Tena Monaghan. The UBCO student is passionate about inclusion and is an absolute shredder in the terrain park.

The purpose of the free demo day is to get women out and active in the mountains with the intent to foster a more inclusive outdoor community in Kelowna. While the event is dubbed a women害羞草研究所檚 ride, gender-diverse folks are more than welcome to participate.

People are invited to meet at the board shop, located on Highway 33, at 9 a.m. on Jan. 20, for the demo-gear setup. Then, the group will reconvene at the Big White Clock Tower at 11 a.m. for some party laps.

Riders are asked to return their gear to Mountain Lifestyle by 5 p.m.

All abilities are welcome. Some people are even using the free demo day as their opportunity to test out boarding or skiing for the first time. The day is all about getting outside and having fun.

People will have to secure their own rides up to Big White. If you are having difficulty securing a lift to the mountain, contact the shop and they will help coordinate carpooling. For more information call Mountain Lifestyle at 250-765-0167.
