Vernon star swimmer racks up 4 more golds

Calgary Dinos swimmer Alexanne Lepage just keeps winning.

The local product of the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club claimed four gold medals at the Toronto/Ottawa Tri Meet over the Jan. 26 weekend, where the Dinos, University of Toronto and University of Ottawa all battled one another.

Lepage won gold in the 200 and 100 metre breaststroke, 200 m Individual Medley and the 200 m Medley relay team with Hannah Johnsen, Julianne Moore and Sarah Corson.

Lepage, in just her first year as a University swimmer now has claimed a whopping 20 medals, 19 of them gold in just four total meets.

The Dinos won the Canada West championships for the 20th time in November, and Lepage claimed seven medals during that meet. She was named the Canada West Female Swimmer of the Year, and the conference women害羞草研究所檚 rookie of the year, which was the first time both awards have gone to the same person in conference history.

Next, the Dinos host the Colleges Cup on Feb. 2-3. The U Sports Championship are slated for March 7-9 in Montreal.
